Pregnancy acceleration techniques have come to play an increasingly important role in infertility practices. At times a problem is found and corrected, but a couple's potential for pregnancy can never be as good as if they had not had that problem to begin with. Most commonly, advancing maternal age leads to a natural decrease in pregnancy rates and the best way to compensate for this is to use a pregnancy acceleration technique. Ovulation induction and IUI are the two most widely used pregnancy acceleration techniques.
